I learned how to bake long before I learned how to cook. My sweet tooth has always been my downfall but I have chosen to embrace it 🙂 You can bake without most of these things but they have made my life 100x easier!
Measuring Spoons | 4oz Ramekins | 6oz Ramekins | 8oz Ramekins | Parchment Paper Sheets | Mesh Strainer |Oven Thermometer | Muffin Pan | Mini Muffin Pan | Kitchenaid Stand Mixer
Measuring Spoons:
There is not much that needs to be said here! Every kitchen should have a set of measuring spoons.
Ramekins:
These babies can be used in a number of ways; sauces, baking individual portions and my favorite way, pre-measured ingredients. Having everything measured out in advance really makes the cooking process faster!
Parchment Paper Sheets:
These babies make clean up a breeze! You can line your baking sheets with them. Display snacks on them! Not worry about what that cooking spray will do to your baked goods 🙂 They also don’t roll back like the traditional rolled kind.
Mesh Strainer:
I use this weekly! Making cocktails and rinsing rice/quinoa are the top ways! The fine holes allow you to strain things a colander won’t.
Oven Thermometer:
This is one I bought out of necessity. I was trying out new recipes and they kept burning. I found that my oven was a full 25 degrees hotter than I was setting. You want to know the temperature of your oven before you really start baking!
Muffin Pan:
If you bake even a little bit you know how necessary this baby is! Cupcakes, muffins, mini pies, egg cups. The possibilities are endless.
KitchenAid Stand Mixer:
Saved the best for last! This is more expensive than everything else on this list but it literally changed my life. It is worth every penny and I can’t believe I went through 29 years of life without it! You can do much more than baking and the attachments offer endless possibilities.
