This week felt really long, and Spiked Hot Chocolate + Christmas Movies = exactly what I need! I LOVE chocolate so this recipe is rich and chocolaty. Feel free to add fewer chocolate chips or more milk if you want a lighter flavor!
Ingredients:
- 2 C milk
- 1/4 C granulated sugar
- 2 TBS cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 C milk chocolate chips
- 1/2-3/4 C Rumchata
- Whipped cream for serving
Directions:
- Bring milk to a simmer in a saucepan over low heat
- Whisk in sugar and cocoa powder until dissolved
- Whisk in vanilla and chocolate chips until melted
- Remove from heat and stir in RumChata
- Top with whipped cream and enjoy
Makes 2 servings of Spiked Hot Chocolate
I’ll be lighting the fireplace and sipping this warm cocktail all weekend! The rich flavor of this drink makes it perfect all on its own. But it is also really yummy with my gingerbread cookies ;). I can’t believe we are halfway through my #12DaysofChristams Cocktails and Treats!
