The Most Delicious Spiked Watermelon Lemonade

This Watermelon Lemonade is BOMB!!! I suggest making a batch then adding your favorite liquor to your cup so everyone can enjoy it!

Ingredients:

• 3 cups cubed watermelon
• 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice- I used 6 large lemons and a citrus juicer (if you don’t have one, roll the lemon on the counter before squeezing) You can also get a bottle of fresh-squeezed lemon juice but I’m a little old fashioned)
• 1 cup simple syrup (you can use my recipe, but store-bought is fine too)
• 8oz Uncle Nearest Whiskey (or your favorite non-flavored liquor)
• Ice, lemon slices and watermelon cubes for garnish

Directions

1. Purée watermelon chunks until smooth in blender or food processor
2. Use a mesh strainer so you only get the juice -DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP
3. Add lemon juice and simple syrup to the watermelon juice and whisk all together
4. Add liquor here if you want or serve over ice and add liquor to your cup
5. Garnish with Lemon slices and watermelon cubs then enjoy!!!

You can make in advance but don’t add the lemons and watermelon cubs until closer to serving time. I store that leftovers in mason jars in the fridge but this watermelon lemonade has never lasted longer than 2 days in our house! It’s all fresh so a little separation will occur, stir it up and it good to go!
