Yall know I’m a planner, and I put those skills to use in planning the perfect wine trip! It was my first trip away from Baby Boy, but getting away with the girls felt so good! The North GA wineries are about an hour outside of the city and make for the perfect little getaway! This was our third trip, so we have our faves, but we always throw at least one new winery in the mix; we want to be adventurous but not at the risk of not having wine we really enjoy. lol
Below are a few tips to help you plan the perfect wine trip for you and your girls or partner! Hit me on IG if you want to know a few of our faves!
Get a Cute Rental
Face it, wine is more fun when you don’t have to drive home. Hop on a rental site and find a cute cabin! It will set the mood, you will have a cozy place to watch Netflix after the wineries, and you won’t have the responsibility of being at home.
Grab Groceries
We went to the grocery and grabbed some heavy appetizers, snacks, and a few breakfast items. In the past, we have gone out but opted to grab takeout and relax instead. Best decision ever! We snacked, watched True Crime docs, and napped like it was a part-time job. LOL
Arrange Transportation
This one is self-explanatory, but to really have the best time, you have to be safe! They have great transportation companies that know the area and even set up wine tastings for you. We didn’t have to worry about drinking too much or getting home safely!
Reserve Tastings
Some of the less frequented wineries may be able to accommodate walk-ins, but for the best experience, I would suggest booking in advance. It will cut down on the wait time, you feel special having a reserved space, and you can get right to the wine!
Have Badd Bish Energy and A Good Time
Get cute and have a good time! Keep it casual or dress all the way up. Whatever tickles your fancy, but do it up! A wine trip can be as casual or formal as you would like. Do your research and find places that fit your mood!
XOXO, Laya
Ps. Make sure you plan for all the bottles you want to buy when building your budget 🙂 Cute gifts are also a nice touch! We had these perfect little fans that came in handy!
