I have loved to read since I was a kid! True Story: I had gotten in trouble for watching a friend steal a peppermint and not telling (BEEN a rider) so I couldn’t watch TV or play outside. My dad came to check on me and he said I was so immersed in my book that I didn’t notice him standing there for a full 5 minutes. He laughed because he said I was the only one that would enjoy that kind of punishment. Ya’ girl had ALLL the AR points and attended EVERY pizza party lol
I never aged out of my love for books and I am so thankful that I have more time to read these days. Today I am going to share 5 books I have read and loved in 2020!
5 Books To Read In 2020
I am pretty much obsessed with Michelle Obama but this book was still amazing. Reading her story showed that she is/was so much more than a first lady. She as a BOSS with a story that gives everyone hope! This is a MUST READ!
This book was a surprise gift and totally took me by surprise. I was up reading until my eyes hurt like I was a kid again. Money can buy you anything or anyone…a “kidnapping” turns into a love story and reading the summary of the subsequent books sucked me right in.
What a fun read! I read all 4 of her books in like a weekend each! The books are all over the same time period but through the lens of different characters and different love stories. You will get super excited about the personal growth of her characters. Getting stuck in an elevator with a stranger can really change a person!
I heard about this book from a few very different people and that really piqued my interest! A couple of chapters in, I knew why. It’s a story that a lot of cultures are familiar with but told in such a thrilling way! You find yourself loving and hating both the antagonist and protagonist throughout the entire story.
I will keep this short and sweet! YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK! The Four Agreements is an annual read for me. This book will get you allllll the way together but motivate you at the same time! I take away something new each time I read it!
What books have you read this year? Let us know in the comments on Instagram so we can all build books to-read list for the rest of 2020!
XOXO, Laya
