If you have been around a while you know that I love Simple Syrup and you also know how easy it is to make it! Now that you are a pro, let’s take it to the next level and infuse some flavor in there! This easy Lavender Simple Syrup takes no time to make.
Ingredients:
- 1C water
- 1/4C Lavender flowers
- 1C granulated sugar
Directions:
- In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water + lavender to a boil
- Reduce heat to low and stir in sugar until it is completely dissolved
- Simmer for about 15 minutes
- Remove from heat and allow to steep for about an hour (longer if you want a bolder flavor) — You can also add food coloring in at this point if you really want a bold purple color
- Strain lavender flowers out, using a mesh strainer, tea filter or something of that nature
- Pour into a mason jar and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks
