Valentine’s Day is a week away and I KNOW some of you still have not finalized plans for your partner. If you have been around for a while, you know I don’t think romance needs to be hard or expensive, just thoughtful. Check out these 5 at-home Valentine’s Day Date ideas you can try with your partner next week.
1. Chopped Style Competition
Pick a theme or a random selection of items and get in your competition bag. You can set a timer and judge each other’s creations. Chopped will give you something to do together, something to eat, and a ton of laughs. Who can make the best dessert board can be fun if you don’t want to chance ruining dinner lol
2. Bourbon Tasting
A bourbon tasting or any liquor you both enjoy is a great way to make that nightcap fancier. Grab a few mini bottles of your favorite liquor for the two of you to enjoy. You can look up tasting notes online, as well as snacks to pair with it, and plan a fun tasting at home.
3. Trip Down Memory Lane
How fun would it be to say recreate your first date or another fun experience? You will get to look back on a happy time in your relationship and experience it without the early on jitters. It will be filled with laughs as you remember how nervous you both were 🙂
4. Sunset Drive
This is a low-key activity, but super romantic. Make a slow jams playlist and go for a drive outside the city. You can even pack a small picnic to enjoy at a park or in the car as the sun is beginning to set. This one is all about quality time. Tuck the phones away and just take in how good it feels to be with each other.
5. Take a Bubble Bath
Intimacy can look like a lot of things and a bubble bath is a great way to add in some. When I was pregnant, my husband lit some candles and ran me a bubble bath. He sat near the tub and we talked for nearly an hour. He was not even touching me, but I’ve never felt closer! If you need some conversation starters you can check out this post or order these fun cards.
If these 5 At Home Valentine’s Day Date ideas do sound like fun for you, I also have a post that has 20-At Home Date Night Ideas you can check out.
